Your relationship is traversing a rocky period and you keep going. You need help with a relationship rescue to show you how to ”Work to save your relationship”.

First of all, in a relationship rescue, it is important that you learn to be honest with each other, and accept that your partner is as you are. Each of you must share the responsibility for the situation in which you find yourselves. You must each recognize your shortcomings and accept what your partner criticizes about you. Come to grips with the fact that you are both going to have to change certain elements in your relationship. Keep an open mind about the points you will need too work on.

You must be ready to make a compromise if you are really in love. You will each have to agree to modify certain aspects of your relationship. You must try to find more compatibility, not an easy thing to do.

You will next have to learn to put matters in true perspective. Learn to see problems as they really are, without exaggeration or embellishment. Learn to examine them from a number of different approaches. Counseling can assist you to understand your partner’s point of view. You will start to see that some matters are not as important as they first appeared to be.

You will start to understand why, rather than guessing why, your partner takes a view contrary to your own ideas

You will then have to learn how to discuss each different problem, and once settled to leave it and pass to the next. You must stop harboring grudges and battling repeatedly over the same subject. In your discussions ignore the past and keep with the present.
